Software Engineer - Python
Location: Yokneam Illit, working from the office.

Job description:
We are looking for a software engineer to develop an application for the operation of a Robotic Coating System (RCS). The RCS is designed to apply polarization chemistry to optical lens surfaces. The RCS includes various modules such as:

Motorized linear and rotational axes

Hydraulic systems
-
Pneumatic systems
-
Motorized valves
-
Programmable power supplies
-
Relays
-
Temperature regulation mechanisms and sensors
-
Illuimination and Imaging devices

The RCS application should integrate and orchestrate all modules to perform the functionality specified in SPEC document.
The software engineer should have a solid understanding of basic physics principles and strong analytical thinking skills. The application is developed in Python & C#, under the guidance of an experienced software engineer, and the functionality is directed by a Ph.D. in physics. The work also involves close collaboration with a mechanical engineer who designs and assembles the hardware modules controlled by the application.
Requirements (will be tested in interviews):

Good command of English for verbal and written communication

Proficiency in Python and C#, particularly for working with hardware (sensors and actuators) and data processing

Ability to understand technical block diagrams, SPECs

Basic understanding of physics
Preferred but not mandatory:

Formal technological education (M.Sc. or Ph.D. strongly preferred)

Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming

Residence in Yokneam or surrounding areas (e.g., Haifa, Krayot, Zichron Yaakov)

Knowledge of Unity 3D and/or Unreal graphic engines and/or Image Processing
